Bartenders and Their Bewitching Elixirs

Witches were believed to be individuals who had made pacts with the devil, practiced witchcraft, and were thought to have the power to bewitch others. Accusations of witchcraft were sometimes used to target individuals, particularly women, who were seen as different, unconventional, or a threat to established authorities.

In creating this cocktail, I felt I was concocting a magic potion. Most bartenders are doing just that. Mixing together liqueurs and spirits that mend what ales. This cocktail recipe is for all the different, unconventional, and hauntingly established bartenders who know how to mix up a delicious spell that will bewitch customers.

Find out from Little Plate how mixing cocktails is like making magic.

The Cocktail Incantation

The incantation begins with the deep, mesmerizing smokiness of campfire whiskey – First Call Break Maiden Bourbon Whiskey infused with Campfire Tea by Dirtbag Tea Company.

Next, the elixir takes an eerie turn as it is poured over a chilling witch's skull ice cube.

And then, the final piece of the spell – the stirring of the concoction with a witch's heart. This metaphorical ingredient, a symbol of the essence of the witch herself, infuses the cocktail with an unearthly depth and intensity.
